Food rations are used when access to fresh food or meals made using traditional methods is limited or impossible. These circumstances may take place during field trainings or warfare, among others. Rations can also be used successfully for feeding civilians and emergency services in cases of natural disasters or other emergencies. Due to the nature of the tasks performed or the conditions present, we distinguish two types of food rations: individual and group.
